Bonnie.jpg

Bonnie Martin PFD, Instructor

Bonnie Martin’s love of flowers started in her grandma’s garden in Gem Lake, and she has had flowers in her blood ever since. Bonnie attended classes at the Institute of Floristry and earned certification as a Professional Floral Designer (PFD).  In 2007, she decided to make floral design her career when she opened her own studio, Bonnie’s Unreal Arrangements of White Bear Lake. Since then some of her brightest moments have been creating table arrangements for the General Mills Martin Luther King Breakfast, floral design for a Martha Stewart visit to the Twin Cities, and being featured in The Knot magazine.  Flexing her competitive muscles, Bonnie has been a co-designer for Art in Bloom, she has been an award winner in floral design at the Minnesota State Fair, and placed in Koehler and Dramm’s Floral Designer of the Year competition. Bonnie has also worked as a visual merchandiser and used many of those skills for her weddings, the Festival of Trees, and as part of the decorating committee for the Governor’s mansion.  Bonnie has freelanced for other designers and flower shops, learning something from everywhere she has been.
